3 Perfect Days: All We Need Is Love & Skylines

Updated: Oct 7, 2020

The Good Life is back with another itinerary! If you don't know what I'm talking about, you should go read the blog post that came out prior to this one (3 Perfect Days: Let's Make Pour Decisions). Go ahead, I'll wait. No, for real...I got time... All caught up on the series? Wonderful. This week, your next 'Perfect Day' itinerary will lead you to everyone's fave city; Toronto. Toronto in the summertime...MAGICAL, so of course I had to make an itinerary of things you can do in one of the best cities in the world. Keep on reading for some things you can do this summer all while still socially distancing! This itinerary has some active components, along with some dope restaurants for you to try. Mix it up, re-work it to work best for you. Cheers to Summer 2020.

Maison Selby - Start the day off with a little brunch moment at Maison, their patio is elegantly styled, serving up French bistro and craft cocktail vibes. They are open for dinner Wednesday to Sunday and open for weekend brunch! Of course, I have to tell you about the $10 build your own mimosa option as well! Don't play yourself, make a reservation.

Toronto Island Stand Up Paddle-boarding - For my adventurous folks, switch it up a little, and try out a SUP lesson on Lake Ontario. You don't need any experience, or even need to know how to swim. The entire experience is about 75 minutes in length. They have a group option (2-6 people) for $54, semi-private option for $64 dollars and completely private for $80. Social distancing at its finest. All equipment is included, even the instructor. All you need to bring is a bathing suit, towel and sunscreen. By the end of this lesson, I'm sure you'll be able to add professional Stand Up Paddle-Boarder to your Instagram bio.

Ward's Island Beach - Since you will be in the area anyway, why not stop for a post SUP picnic? Pack a couple sandwiches, your fave drinks, a blanket and you're good to go. They even have a sandy beach for you to sit back and enjoy the view. Plus you won't have to deal with waves of people. Sounds like a win-win to me.

High Park - High Park is another beautiful option to have a cute picnic with friends. If you're not feeling sitting on the ground, they have 18 designated picnic spots for you! You're welcome.

Bike Share Toronto - Pack your Lysol wipes, and go for a ride downtown. I'm sure you'll pass by something funky or a dope alley way that will have you hopping off your bike and posing for your latest fire insta pic, or make a pitstop for some ice-cream. You can easily download the Bike Share app, and a day pass is only $7! Just drop it off at the nearest bike rack whenever you're done, they have tons of them located throughout the city. Easy Peasy.

Bon Appétit!

Constantine - I know after this long eventful day, you need some food. Some good food. How does Mediterranean food sound? The Constantine recently opened their patio from Wednesday to Saturday 6-10:30 PM, reservations are strongly encouraged.

SOCO Kitchen + Bar - Their street side patio is open from 11 AM to 9 PM every day. Their menu offers local ingredients with global influences.

Against The Grain Urban Tavern - Waterfront views, with globally inspired eats. What more can you ask for?

Late Night Drinks

Marben - Marben has some unique after dinner cocktails like their 'Ruby So-So' which has Bombay gin, Becherovka herbal liqueur, pink bee-balm cordial, lemon juice, orange bitters, topped with soda or their 'Corpse Reviver #2' with Bombay gin, Lillet Blanc, orange liqueur, absinthe, fresh lemon juice. Sounds like a party in my mouth, I'll take three. Open till ten ⏰

Hey Lucy Cafe - Every Wednesday they have select Martinis for $4.99 & Every Thursday, they have select glasses of wine for $4.99. Hope you're good with making decisions because they have 17 martinis to choose from. Yes, you read that correctly, 17 options. They also have wood-fired pizza if you get the late night nibbles.

There we have it, a perfect day in the city. I really hope this post was helpful in planning your next 'Perfect Day', even if it was one thing!

Here's to Summer time in Toronto...
